Our Story

Founded to fix a broken middle.

Every year, hundreds of thousands of privately held businesses face a transition — a sale, a succession, a strategic investment, or an acquisition. Most never reach an institutional advisor. The bulge brackets do not serve them; the regional intermediaries lack global reach.

Veristone was founded by George Molakal on a simple thesis: the accountants who already hold the trusted relationship with these businesses are the right channel. Give them institutional-grade analytics, a global buyer network, and a partner economics model that respects their profession — and the middle market gets the infrastructure it deserves.

Sterling Mercer

The advisory arm.

Sterling Mercer is Veristone's institutional M&A advisory arm. It executes sell-side and buy-side mandates originated through the partner network, from engagement letter through close.

In jurisdictions where local regulation requires it, Sterling Mercer works alongside a licensed local advisor. In every mandate, the introducing partner firm retains the client relationship and receives the agreed revenue share on every fee stream.
